安顺人杨正静（音）为安顺地雕刻面具已有四十余年。当地工匠雕刻面具的数量从三十多年前的八十多只减少到现在的五六只。但杨先生近年来开始在网上销售面具，这有助于打开市场，缓解保持工艺生存的压力。

安顺地戏的面具采用白杨、紫丁香、楸木等上等木材制成，雕工精细，色彩独特。军官面具是最具特色的。面具的制作是一个相当复杂的过程，包括从雕刻到绘画的各个步骤。戏剧剧本和民间故事被考虑在内，某些规则和简洁的程序也被考虑在内。

Yang Zhengjing, local of Anshun, Guizhou, has been carving masks for Anshun Opera for over forty years. The number of local craftsmeen carving masks has shrunk from 80 plus three decades ago to the current five or six. But Yangstarted to sell masks online in recent years, which has helped open up the market and alleviate the pressure of keeping the craftsmanship alive.

The masks of the Anshun Opera are made of fine timber from white poplar, lilac trees and catalpa bungei,carved with delicate techniques and painted with particular colors. The masks for military officers are the most characteristic.The making of the masks is a rather complicated process, consisting of various steps from carving to painting. Drama scripts and folk tales are taken into consideration, as are certain rules and pithy procedures.
