The Xiaohua Miao people use gunshanzhu
to record the history.
在贵州省毕节市纳雍县猪场苗族彝族乡
生活着一支小花苗族人
他们擅长芦笙舞蹈
在他们众多的芦笙舞蹈中
芦笙舞“滚山珠”，尤其出名
The Zhuchang Miao and Yi Township,
Nayong County, Bijie City, Guizhou Province,
is inhabited by the Xiaohua Miao,
a branch of the Miao people.
They are good at lusheng dance.
Among all types of lusheng dance,
gunshanzhu is the most famous one.
“滚山珠”古老的名字叫“地龙滚荆”
又叫“滚地龙”
苗语叫“子罗多”
“滚山珠”的动作都是由苗族先民在大迁徙过程中
翻山越岭、披荆斩棘
遇河过河、遇水过水的经历演变过来的
“滚山珠”的特别之处，
可概括为“古”、“土”、“活”、“难”、“高”这五个特点
In ancient times, gunshanzhu
is called “loong rolling on the ground”.
In the Miao language, it is called “Zi Luo Duo”.
The movements of gunshanzhu were developed
by the ancestors of the Miao people
in their painstaking migration.
The characteristics of the dance can be summed up
in five words:
archaic, rustic, elastic, artistic and complicated.

2006年
苗族芦笙舞滚山珠
被列入第一批国家级非物质文化遗产名录
“滚山珠”是苗族人民世代相传的芦笙舞蹈之一
被誉为“乌蒙高原上一颗璀璨的文化明珠“
In 2006,
gunshanzhu was included in the first batch
of the National Intangible Cultural Heritage List.
As a traditional form of lusheng dance of the Miao ethnic group, gunshanzhu is known as “a bright cultural pearl on the Wumeng Mountain”.
声与形的契合，
口与手的协调，
个体与群体的交融，
“滚山珠”中蕴涵着的坚韧顽强、不屈不挠，
是民族性格中的一份宝贵精神财富，
它激励和引导着人们不畏艰险，不断前进。
Integrating lusheng rhythms and dance movements,
gunshanzhu requires good mouth-hand coordination.
It represents a balance between individual and group work.
The tenacity and perseverance
are the great legacy of the Xiaohua Miao people
and they will guide them to rise to the challenge
and move forward.
