Guizhou Echo丨来划龙舟喽！中国·台江施洞苗族独木龙舟节开幕
6月23日，中国·台江施洞苗族独木龙舟节在清水江畔施洞镇拉开帷幕，施洞街上和清水江边锣鼓喧天，人山人海，近40多条独木龙舟汇聚清水江畔大放异彩，吸引了国内外万余名游客前来参与其中。
On June 23, The Guizhou Shidong Miao Canoe Dragon Boat Festival, which is unique in the world, opened in Shidong Town on the banks of Qingshui River in Taijiang, Guizhou. The streets of Shidong was a sea of people. Over 40 traditional hmong's canoe style dragon boats entered contests, which attracting more than 10,000 tourists from home and abroad.
苗族独木龙舟是苗族文化的骄傲，无论是独木龙舟的独特造型,还是龙舟下水竞渡，还有古老的龙舟传说，无不体现出古老而神秘的苗族文化气息，是中华大地龙舟文化的一朵奇葩，是中华大地乃至全世界的文化瑰宝。
Miao canoe dragon boats are the pride of the Miao culture, which contains the unique shape of canoe dragon boats, the dragon boat racings, and the ancient dragon boat legends. All of these elements reflect the ancient and mysterious atmosphere of the Miao culture. Miao canoe style dragon boats are mircales of the dragon boat culture in China, are unique cultural treasures in China and even in the world.
苗族独木龙舟节的举办时间一般选择在端午后20天，当地人把这天称为“大端午”。独木龙舟造型独特，龙舟赛已经有上千年的历史，是清水江流域苗族同胞祈祷太平，促进民族融合的重要载体。近年来，这项体育赛事越来越受到人们的关注，引来无数国内外摄影爱好者前来猎奇拍摄。独木龙舟节已经被列入我国第一批国家级非物质文化遗产保护项目。
The Miao Canoe Dragon Boat Festival is usually held 20 days after the Dragon Boat Festival, and the locals call this day as the "Great Dragon Boat Festival". The canoe dragon boats have different and unique shapes. The dragon boat race has a history over thousands years, which has become an important carrier for the Miao people inhabiting the Qingshui River to pray for peace and promote ethnic integration. In recent years, this sporting event has attracted more and more people's attention, attracting plenty of photographers from all over the world to come and take pictures. The Canoe Dragon Boat Festival has been included in the first batch of national intangible cultural heritage protection projects in China.
目前，施洞地区共有40多只独木龙舟，其造型、竞渡方式和胜负标准，以及围绕龙舟活动所反映的一系列社会结构、文化观念、经济生活等方面，都具有极高的研究和开发价值。
At present, there are more than 40 canoe dragon boats in Shidong. Their shapes, racing methods, winning and losing standards of race, as well as a series of information about social structures, cultural concepts, economic lives and other aspects reflected by dragon boat activities, all have extremely good value to research and develope.
据了解，2022中国·台江施洞苗族独木龙舟节将进行三天的比赛和表演。期间，龙舟下水、龙舟竞渡、接龙、踩鼓、民间文艺表演等活动是吸引游客的最大看点。
It is understood that the 2022 Shidong Miao Canoe Dragon Boat Festival will lasts three days for competitions and performances. During this period, traditional activities from the Miao, such as dragon boat launching, dragon boat racing, dancing, drumming and other folk art performances are main attractions to tourists.
